Minced daily
The meat is minced and seasoned every day, never stocked, for a tender, consistent kafta at every service.

Minced meat worked with parsley, onion and spices, shaped by hand and seared over embers. Lebanon around the fire, steps from Part-Dieu.
At Layali Beyrouth, kafta is made as it is at home in Lebanon: meat minced fresh each day, worked with parsley, onion and spices, shaped by hand around the skewer and seared over embers. Enjoy it in our dining room in the heart of Lyon 3, as takeaway or delivered.
“Kafta is the grillmaster's hand, the morning herbs and the lively flame: Lebanon tells its story around the fire.”

In Lebanese cuisine, kafta, كفتة, is a preparation of minced meat blended with finely chopped flat-leaf parsley, onion and an array of spices. It is a simple yet demanding dish to share: everything rests on the quality of the meat, the freshness of the herbs and the right balance of spices.
Each skewer is shaped by hand then laid over the embers, a quick cooking that keeps the centre moist. Served with its garnishes, it pairs with a creamy hummus or a fragrant tabbouleh to build a true meal to share.

Layali Beyrouth opened its doors in May 2010: fifteen years of service in 2026, carried by a couple at the stove and in the dining room. The chef, qualified in Lebanese cuisine, chooses fresh produce day by day, with no stock. The herbs, meat and vegetables that make up the kafta come from the morning market.
The menu is named in the restaurant's three languages, each dish keeping its original Arabic name. To extend your meal, discover our selection of Lebanese wines or read our story.
