A Lebanese table in the heart of Lyon

Since May 2010, a couple has run Layali Beyrouth: one in the kitchen, the other in the dining room. This family house has made dining in its core craft, a moment when you truly sit down, when the dishes arrive at the centre of the table to be shared. The dining room, with its red velvet chairs, carries on this Lebanese hospitality made of attention and generosity.

Located at 38 rue du Dauphiné, a few minutes from Part-Dieu, our Lebanese restaurant in Lyon 3 is open Monday to Saturday, lunch and dinner. To be sure of a table, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings, it is best to book ahead.

Every dish has a story

Coming to eat Lebanese
is travelling for the length of a meal

Lebanon is a bridge between East and West, and its cuisine tells the story of that crossroads. For the length of a lunch or a dinner, the table becomes a journey: aromas of fresh herbs, lemon and spices, dishes set at the centre and shared among many.

This is the experience we seek to offer dine-in, a pause of an hour or two, away from the routine, around a cuisine that takes its time.

At the table

Mezze, grills and desserts to share

The meal begins with an assortment of cold and hot mezze, our Lebanese hummus, tabbouleh, moutabal, falafel, kibbeh, that whet the appetite and invite sharing. Then come the grills, the heart of the Lebanese table: seasoned kafta, marinated chich taouk and shawarma seared over the flame.

It ends with a homemade dessert, flaky baklava or fragrant mouhalabieh. Explore the detail on our full menu, our cold mezze or our Lebanese grills, as well as our shawarma seared over the flame.
