Extended family meal, dinner with friends or a milestone birthday: we adapt the layout of the dining room so your table is seated comfortably.

Lebanon, a bridge between East and West: for the length of a birthday, mezze to share and grills of the day to travel an hour or two in the heart of Lyon 3.
Celebrating a birthday at a Lebanese restaurant means choosing a meal built to be shared. At Layali Beyrouth, a family address open since May 2010 at 38 rue du Dauphiné, the mezze are set at the centre of the table and passed from hand to hand: conversation flows on its own, and the birthday takes on the feel of a true gathering. We welcome groups up to 30 people, at lunch and in the evening.
“A birthday is, above all, a table where you take your time: a few dishes of mezze, a grill, and an evening that stretches on.”

A mezze starter, a signature Lebanese main and a Lebanese coffee, ideal for a small birthday gathering at lunchtime.
An assortment of cold and hot mezze to share, a grill of your choice and a homemade dessert, the favourite format with friends.
A wider selection of mezze, a main course, a Lebanese dessert and a drink, to mark the birthday with real generosity at the table.

A birthday meal at Layali Beyrouth unfolds in three acts. First the mezze, cold then hot, set at the centre of the table: creamy hummus, parsley-rich tabbouleh, crisp kibbeh, warm falafels. This is the moment that sets the mood and keeps the dishes moving, and, for guests less familiar with Lebanese cuisine, the chance to discover new flavours in small portions.
Then comes the main course, often a grill prepared during the daykafta or skewers, sometimes a shawarma sliced on the spot. The meal ends with Lebanese desserts and a Lebanese coffee: often the moment the cake comes out.

To prepare a Lebanese birthday in the best conditions, book ahead, especially for groups. A prior chat, by phone on 04 72 34 94 05 or via online booking, lets us understand your format: number of guests, time slot between 12pm, 2pm or 7pm, 11pm Monday to Saturday, chosen set menu, any allergies.
If your event goes beyond a simple birthday, a large group, a celebration meal, we also look at bespoke formats on the groups and catering side, or via Click & Collect to extend the table to your home.
In the evening, extend the discovery with our dinner menu, or browse the whole full menu.
